Hi lovelies! Hope all of you are doing great!
Just got back from Canada few hours ago. Sis and I left on Sunday, it was a last minute thing. Therefore, I feel like I've been away from blogging....for weeks....and not just for a couple of days. I have some catching up to do.
Friday, finally, I had my first Laser treatment for acne scaring. At first I wasn't sure if I need to even mention anything, but for some reason blogging makes me want to share this info with you all.
Mainly because it might help someone that is looking into skin laser resurfacing. I do appreciate the info I have found on the web, all thanks to those who were kind enough to share their experience with the world. I won't go much into detail and bore anyone right now, I'll do that some other time ;)
If any of you would like to know more about how my first procedure went, feel free to email me.
Overall the procedure went well and I have three more to go. My skin has not started peeling yet, it can take anywhere from 3-7 days. I will post the 'before' and 'after' pictures once all my procedures are done and tell you my overall experience.
Have any of you had any laser procedures done? If so, what was your experience?
xoxo
Hey, where in Canada were you? Should have visited me! LOL! Kidding!
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in hearing about your experience, I started to have acne come up again - I found out I have dermatitis but I believe I have acne in other places now too that just won't heal. Good luck with the healing process I'm sure the results will be well worth it :)
I get laser hair removal on my bikini line and under arms. It is awesome because I tend to break out with ingrown hairs when i shave in those sensitive areas.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any, but good luck to you! I can't wait to see the before and after pics!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your laser treatments!!
ReplyDeleteThe only laser related thing I've done is my laser eye surgery last year. The experience was pretty easy to do and the healing process wasn't bad at all.
I've considered laser hair removal, but just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.
Good luck with your treatment, Lilly. Please keep us posted and can't wait to see the result. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI would love to get a broken blood vessel lasered, but my fiancee' is worried that it won't heal right...thoughts on this?
ReplyDeleteWow! Hope everything's all right from the laser treatment!

ReplyDeleteI'm interested to hear how well it works!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to do that so bad. I have scaring really bad. Please let me know how your progress goes and if you think it's worth it. Was it painful?

ReplyDeleteWhat kind of laser? I got a treat ment a few years ago (three sessions) but I didn't notice any difference :( I think you have to do more (5 or so) but I just found that one to be such a hassle. I'm sorry I forgot the name!
ReplyDeleteI've never done laser treatment, but I would love to try it! I hope you do share your results so I can know if it's worth it or not. I've always dreamed of beautiful skin haha
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you! I'm considering lasik but I still need to find out if I would be a good canidate and if I have the courage to actually do it.
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well after your procedure. Will be interested to hear about the end results. {I need lots of help for my skin!}
ReplyDeletexo, sam
Elaine A - I was just outside Windsor :)
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely share more into about my treatment.
@CMae - I have a couple of small ones on the corner of my nose. I'm not sure if pixel laser takes care of that as well (I'll have to monitor mine for any changes). I'd suggest getting couple of consultations (I had three different ones) and asking if they have before/after pictures from laser treatments they have performed. Hope this helps :)
@Angela - It wasn't really painful, on a scale 1-10 maybe a 6 (I was able to handle it thank goodness). They do have numbing creams but I didn’t use it. It just feels super hot/burning and some areas are more sensitive than others. I just tried to focus on the results as I’ve been wanting to get this done for years now. I’ll keep you posted on the results.
@Sarah S. – Sorry to hear you didn’t see any results. The one I’m having done is the Fractional Laser skin resurfacing (Pixel laser). The lady told me I need 4 treatments for my scarring, so I’m hoping to see results since it’s not that cheap. I know it won’t be perfect but hoping for some type of improvement in scarring.
Ladies, thank you so much for all your sweet comments. I do hope these treatments are worth it at the end. I'll keep you posted :)
I'm going to start fraxel as well! Please keep us posted on your progress. I'm relieved to hear its not too painful-
DeleteWould love to hear more detail on your procedure and your experience with it. Can't wait to see the before and after pictures. I have been self conscious of my skin my entire adult life. Would love to know that something like this can help.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lilly for writing back! I never thought to ask about before and after pictures on other patients that have had it done. Good advice!
ReplyDeleteHey! I just posted about Laser treatments. I am in the process of becoming a certified tech and had hair removal this week and Fractional on my neck for skin rejuvenation in the process. I am LOVING laser! I plan on doing a similar, but different treatment on my face this week and will post about before and after, etc. Can't wait to see what you think after your series of treatments. xo

Yes! I've been looking into this too! I have acne scars on my face too, not many, but enough to bother me. A dermatologist recommended a certain laser procedure to me too but I haven't done it yet because I have been afraid. I'd love to know the name of the lazer/procedure and to know your experience with this! You mentioned the before and afters, that would be awesome to see!
ReplyDeleteI have had Fraxel done and the results are incredible! I, too, had acne scarring. The Fraxel was 3 sessions and cost around $3,000. But it was an investment and something I had to do for me. I am so glad I did.
ReplyDeleteHi Lilly after reading your comment I wanted to wish you luck on the laser treatment. I had minimal scarring but have started using a great skin care line that literally has helped me a ton. If you would like more info email me at spechtacularskin@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteXoxo Sarah

Lilly,
ReplyDeleteI know you posted this way back in January, but I wanted to tell you that I already was a big fan of yours, but now I'm an even bigger admirer (if that's even possible). Thank you so much for being brave enough to talk about your acne scarring treatments here on your blog. I have also had several treatments for my acne scarring over the past year, and will have to have even more within the upcoming year.
Your style is so wonderful, and you are just so pretty. I cannot even tell you how much it meant to me to read about someone whose style I want to emulate discussing her medical treatments. Thank you for being honest and approachable. Best of luck with your treatments, hon!
