Simplicity

Tank: Target
Skirt: F21
Bow Sandals: Hint Boutique
Necklace: Old
Straw bag: Charlotte Russe (from 2010)

Have I mentioned before how much I love tank tops? I'm sure I have. If I could, I would wear them every.single.day. With jeans (my fav), with skirts, with shorts...and they look good on pretty much everyone.  I have about 4 black ones just from Target. They are the perfect shape, in front and back, and are pretty affordable, $8 and once in a while they'll have them on sale for $6.

On a different note, I think I've found the perfect self tanner. I've only tried it on my upper body, so I still need to try it on my legs before I can brag about it. I will be giving you a few details soon.

Do you have a self tanner you just love?
I would love to know...

Two outfits I shall share...

Top: J.Crew
Skirt: Thrift Boutique
Shoes: Marshalls (brand Unisa in case you're wondering :)
Bracelets: H&M

Monday's outfit! I don't think it really matters what day the outfit was worn as long as it makes it on this blog, right? Right!

And this outfit is from yesterday...

Shirt and Bracelet: Target
Skirt and Necklace: F21
Sandals: Banana Republic outlet

Considering how much I liked this outfit I can't believe I only took two pictures...two that look pretty much the same. I guess better than nothing..considering that in the past I forgot to take pictures of outfits I really liked. Oh well!
But you know what's great? The fact that I can wear this outfit to work...as it doesn't necessarily look "work appropriate" unless it was a Friday outfit. And what's sort of crazy is that some of my work outfits have been considered too dressy  (if you've been following my blog I don't think "too dressy" would be the correct word for any of my work outfits). The place I work at didn't have a dress code until few years ago when a new lady was hired in HR. It was necessary in my opinion from what I've heard previous Managers wore...and some pictures I've seen.

Does job work place have a strict dress code? Do people follow it?

Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Saturday Outfit and a ?

Top: F21
Shorts: Loft
Fedora: Target
Purse: Vintage
Shoes: Black ones from Kohls/White Marshalls
Belt: Gap
Necklace: F21

I was going to wear black shoes then switched to white and by the end of the day ended up wearing new gladiator sandals from Banana Republic outlet. They actually looked the best with this outfit...but of course I forgot to take pictures.
I also need to take a close-up picture of this purse...love the bring color combo.

And just to let you know in what type of town I live......one lady (in her 20's) at the outlet mall (it's 30min away from me but still) told me she liked my whole outfit and then said "let me guess....you're probably not from here".  And this outfit wasn't even wow.

How is your style influenced by the city/town you live in?
Or what is it influenced by?

I'm curious so do let me know in the comments below :)

Cardi and Tank: Target
Pants: The Loft
Wedges: Marshalls
Necklace: F21
Belly bump: Steak dinner with herb potatoes, steamed broccoli and carrots

Pretty amazing....I had a chance to take pictures outside and yet still decided to use my iPhone to do so.  Clearly I prefer convenience over quality!  That should be changed...some.day.
You're probably wondering why I blurred out my face? Not sure as the face turned out decent this time, no crazy facial expressions (at least not on these two face pictures).  Probably just used to cutting my head off in my ootd pictures...

Have you noticed how light my hair is? Yep, had my roots done (highlights) and got some more layers. The layers that had to cover my ears when I wear my hair up (which doesn't happen very often). It's waaay out of my comfort zone.  But the few hot days, or just bad hair days, that require my hair up...which require layers-that-cover-my-ears-because-I'm-my-biggest-critic-and-don't-like-my-ears.

And this outfit is really from last week!

Did you all have a good weekend? What did you do?

Plain black tee

Tee & Flats: Marshalls
Jeans: Aeropostale
Braclet: Target
Necklace: old
Ring: The Limited

I'm trying not to mention our lovely weather in each post but as we all know that's what determines our daily outfits, for most people at least. I could be wearing shorts today, but instead I'm wearing jeans...I don't like to be cold (it's 60 degrees out today and has been in the 60's pretty much the whole week).  I know we won't have much of a summer this years and that's why I'm looking forward, big time, to our vacation in October.  Caribbean. Can't.wait.

It might sound little crazy but I'm already thinking of my outfits. Mainly because I don't want to take too much stuff, as I did the first time, but rather want to plan my daily outfits.  That also means I need to buy new shorts, a pair or two. Preferably pink and black.

Do you plan your vacation outfits ahead?

Sort of recent...and dress update

Friday's outfit, went shopping with a friend...wore this. Recognize the purse? I'm still so excited as I seriously never.win.anything.  You need to check out her fashion blog here.  Thanks again A :)
I've been meaning to do a post on the goodies I got but as you can tell I've been a little behind on blogging lately...

Not sure how many Friday's ago I wore this outfit...but clearly I'm wearing the same jeans. Yes, I do like them a lot.

And I do like my yellow jelly flats a lot to... Wore this outfit sometime last week. Flats & Shirt: J Crew, Cargo Pants: Kohl's

So in my previous post I had to share the lovely dress I came across on Topshop.  Many of you seemed to like it too. Well, while I was at the gym my awesome hubby ordered the dress for me.  Yes, he is awesome like that  :)  Can't wait to get it and try it on.

Hope you had a great Monday!

Thursday Wishlist

Thursday Wishlist

Thursday Wishlist by Lilz29 featuring sleeveless dress
Absolutely love this dress!  Thinking about buying it as this type of dress is timeless. It can be dressed up or dressed down.
What do you ladies think?  Should I go for it?

What is your best accessory?

 Pants: Loft
Jacket: Aeropostale (old)
Blouse+Bracelets: F21
Shoes: Old Navy (last year)
Belt: Thrifted
Necklace: ?
Ring: Charlotte Russe

This is yesterdays outfit...wasn't going to post it...but then I changed my mind. I actually liked the outfit at first but by lunch time I no longer liked it. I think it was because of my hair...bad hair day. I just prefer my hair down and wavy I guess. I think an outfit can be absolutely fabulous but if I'm not having a good hair day no outfit can make it better....it just doesn't feel right.
I guess I do consider hair to be the best accessory!

Had to show you the close up of the ring(s)..absolutely love them...three rings, so I can wear them individually or stacked up  (nail polish is from Sinful Color..not sure of the name but the color is even brighter than in this picture..it's a hot/neon pink).

So, what is your best accessory?

A colorful Tuesday

Dress, Ring & Bracelets: H&M
Sandals: F21
Nail polish: Mac ? (last years collection)

I bought this dress over the weekend. The colors are so beautiful...I wish I had time to take pictures outside so you can see the true colors. Almost every person I came across this morning complimented on the dress. And the best part...it was only $13!  I love me some H&M.

Speaking of dresses...I just realized I never took a picture of the one I got at Marshalls...you know the one my hubby said looks like a nighty! It's actually in my car..on its way to be returned, so I'll try to snap a picture before I actually return it.

Have you bought any dresses lately? If you have worn it already post a link in the comments so I can check it out :)

Have a fantastic Tuesday!

Something new...again

Blouse: Marshalls
Skirt + Ring: The Limited (old)
Shoes: Bitten by SJP
Bracelets: H&M

I absolutely LOVE this top. It's light and sheer and pretty...perfect combo for summer. I think I could get away with just wearing a nude bra underneath...I don't think it would be visible....but wasn't going to take a chance since this is a work outfit.

Marshalls has been having really cute tops/blouses lately. I've been trying to be good and not buy much, even though I can use more summer tops. It seems each time I try to organize my closet I get rid of more clothes.  But for $12.99 I really couldn't pass it up. I also bought a light summery dress and after I tried it on at home last night, to get my husbands opinion, he said it looks like a nighty... Ummm...returned it shall be. I might snap a picture before I return it to see if you ladies think it looks like a nighty.

Hope you're having a great Wednesday!

OOTD and new shoes

Top: Target
Skirt: F21 (old)
Wedges: Marshalls
Bracelet: BR (gift)

Hope all of you had a great weekend! Did you do anything fun? I think just having those two days off it's "fun" itself.  :)

I was excited to finally wear this skirt. I've had it for a few years now and am glad I can still wear it...it's still cute.  Now the wedges...I bought them a while back (a while back is less than a month ago). First time wearing them...Same issue I had with the top in my previous post...I was thinking about returning them (usually when I buy something, I like to wear it right.away.) It took me a while to wear these..not sure why. I guess I was asking myself if really need them. I still think they are cute but at the same time also think I can live without them.
Certain purchases make me feel guilty. What's happening to me?!

Do certain purchases make you feel guilty? If so, do you end up returning the item?

OOTD and a yummy snack

Top: Marshalls
Jeans: F21 (old)
Bow sandals: Hint Boutique
Ring: F21

I bought this top a while back but haven't worn it until today. I actually was contemplating about returning it. But then I told myself "it's cute, it reminds me of beach for some reason..so I'll wear it today". Don't tell me you don't talk to yourself?! It's perfectly fine...as long as you don't answer out loud too.

And here is a morning or afternoon snack I loove. It so yummylicious. I think it's the dark chocolate granola that makes is super delicious...which also has almonds and dried cherries in it.
I like to add fresh blueberries to the mix. Any type of berry will do it for me.

What is your favorite healthy snack?

Have a fabulous weekend!

p.s. omg, I almost forgot... You guys...I won a giveaway...I still can't believe I won as I NEVER win anything. I'm so stinkin' excited. Check it out here.

OOTD and a true story

 Jacket+Capris: Aeropostale (old)
Shirt: Marshalls
Wedges: Target (old)
Necklace: F21

Since the weather has been nice this week I've been spending my lunch hour at a Lake which happens to be across the street from where I work. I drive to the Boat Launch as there are hardly any people there....so it's more peaceful. Me+bench+lake+a book = perfect lunch hour. So perfect it makes it hard to go back to work.

Anyway, I got to tell you what I saw yesterday.  I had to make a quick stop at Walmart on my lunch hour. On my way to check out I passed a mother with three small children...small girl she was carrying (prob 2yrs old) and two boys...maybe 5 and 7 yrs old. The middle child was screaming at this mother and then he spit at her. I could believe what I saw. Who spits at their mother!?  After checking out I headed over to Subway (inside walmart) and behind me in line came the same mother with her three children. The two boys were loud, screaming, moving chairs around...just being very very bad. The oldest boy says "why is everyone looking at me". Seriously kid? Seriously? I had such a hard time keeping my mouth shut as I waited in line for at least 4 or 5 min. I was staring at the kid as he tells me "stop looking at me" which really made me stare even  more. I stared at him with a look of disapproval (doubt he knows what it means). I was staring until he looked away.

I thought I was going to see cameras...maybe they were filming for the Nanny show.  But to my disappointment I didn't see any.  I actually can't even describe how bad those kids were. I've only seen kids act like that on TV..usually on the Nanny show...and that mother/kids would be the perfect candidates for it.

Why are some parents afraid to discipline their children these days?

I could go on and on...but it's 9min pass my bed time :)

Nite nite everyone!
