Hope all of you had a great weekend! Hubby and I went to an Antique store (a huge one) on Saturday. I didn't realize how much I enjoy browsing through antique/vintage stuff. Unfortunately I didn't buy anything but I did take a few pictures that I'll share with you.

Yesterday we went to Old Town...which has a few galleries, one cute Boutique and couple other stores.  Being inside those couple stores made me feel like a tourist in some cute little city. Definitely enjoyed it.

I love this button down shirt and therefore bought a 2nd one at Target. Except this time I paid $2.45 and not $20. Definitely feels good finding an awesome deals like this one.

And another good thing...my hubby ordered me a tripod! So there might be an end to the work bathroom mirror pictures. I know you'll miss them, I know.  Ok, maybe not an end...because I'll need to plan ahead in the morning...take extra 5-9min to take pictures before work. Not an easy task when you're always running out of the house to make it to work on time...and then you just show up right at 9am! Darn snooze button!

Do you ever go shopping and find a good deal on something and the cashier gives you a total that is a LOT less than what you've expected?

That's what happened with this top and the cardi from Express... I paid around $5 for the top and $11 for the cardi. Love such surprises!

And I'm actually wearing a lacy tank top under the express top...for less cleavage exposure!

Red lips

To me, red lips add an instant touch of glamour. I've always admired Gwen Stefani's minimal makeup with red lips look, just gorgeous!  As much as I love red lips I'm not sure I'm brave enough to wear it out if public. A pigmented tinted gloss might be a good start. It doesn't scream "look at me"...which some of the red lipsticks do but in a good way. 

Yesterday while at Sephora I talked my sister into buying one. She likes red lips  as well and just like me is somewhat hesitant to wear it. She has nice skin complexion and I think the ones she tried looked good on her. One of the sales associated put the YSL lipstick on her (I think it was Le Rouge, not sure).  I told her to think about it while we browse. I saw her 10min later and asked if she tried to take it off and she said no. I actually was a little disappointed that the color didn't seem to last long, it faded quite a bit.  For $30 I would expect it to last a lot longer that 10-15min. So we ended up going to Macy's and we both bought one...she bought red, I did not buy red...I bought Hue.  :)


So maybe I'll start wearing red lipstick around the house first.

When you take your outfit pictures, do you ever have a few pictures that look almost the same...but yet they are slightly different....and you can't decide which ones to upload? Seems to happen to me all the time. So I upload them all :)
Plus I'm sort of getting tired of taking pictures in the bathroom at work...I think it's time to look for a tripod...even though I know you'll miss bathroom-mirror pictures ;-)  But I have a feeling it's going to be a while before this happens...it's just so much more convenient this way..haha.

Well, on the bright side...it's Thursday...and I get to leave in 45min...(derm. appt)...and probably will hit a few stores after the appt... We're going to see Stomp on Saturday and I think I need a pair of dark skinny jeans to wear with my fav boots (yep, you guessed it...the boots I've on today). 

And then I'm going to make stuffed Zucchini...delish..seriously!  (I think this is the 7th of me cooking since we've been married...which is 16 months. Hubby, thanks for cooking)

I actually bought these pants last week on sale for $6...couldn't pass them up for two reasons. First the obvious one, price. Second, they are sooo similar to Gap ponte skinny pants (I think that's what they are called). I bought the Ponte boot cut pants from Gap a while ago (and actually they are more like a straight cut than boot cut). Also tried on black ponte skinny pants at gap (didn't think they were worth the money). These ones from Target are almost identical to Gap ones, the fabric, little too long just the ones from Gap...but for a lot, lot less. Therefore I decided to spend $6 :)  

Target has some great sales right now. Tomorrow I'll be wearing my other great find, so stay tuned... 

On a different subject, do any of you ladies watch Wipeout? If you don't you should, it's hilarious (imo). It's tonight on abc 8/7c...  I would love to be on that show (well maybe not have it televised).

These past few days I've been in the mood for soft, feminine pieces. Yesterday I created (on polyvore) what I wished I wore. But since I do not own the gorgeous polka dot blouse I concluded I'll have to work with what I already have in my closet, even though this soft pink blouse is a recent buy.  The red shoes were a last minute decision this morning. I needed more color than just the blouse and thought these shoes will do.

And thanks to this mood of mine, yesterday I bought a BCMGMaxAzria blouse because it looked so pretty and feminine, without trying it on. Well, turns out it's not very flattering, not my color..it washes me out (it's nude-ish I guess, couldn't find it online other than in black).

My Friday started well (lie)....My hair dryer died! Two seconds into drying my hair it decided to kill itself! Not cool! So I had to let my hair air dry which I don't do very often just because I don't like my hair curly very much. At times I give it a break but as you can see from some of the pictures my hair usually is wavy (blow dry + 2" curling iron).  What made the day a slightly better is that today is jeans day...makes it less awkward...and so I decided to just throw on a top, my warm boots and get to work...on time...therefore the simple outfit today!
