Two outfits I shall share...

Top: J.Crew
Skirt: Thrift Boutique
Shoes: Marshalls (brand Unisa in case you're wondering :)
Bracelets: H&M

Monday's outfit! I don't think it really matters what day the outfit was worn as long as it makes it on this blog, right? Right!

And this outfit is from yesterday...

Shirt and Bracelet: Target
Skirt and Necklace: F21
Sandals: Banana Republic outlet

Considering how much I liked this outfit I can't believe I only took two pictures...two that look pretty much the same. I guess better than nothing..considering that in the past I forgot to take pictures of outfits I really liked. Oh well!
But you know what's great? The fact that I can wear this outfit to work...as it doesn't necessarily look "work appropriate" unless it was a Friday outfit. And what's sort of crazy is that some of my work outfits have been considered too dressy  (if you've been following my blog I don't think "too dressy" would be the correct word for any of my work outfits). The place I work at didn't have a dress code until few years ago when a new lady was hired in HR. It was necessary in my opinion from what I've heard previous Managers wore...and some pictures I've seen.

Does job work place have a strict dress code? Do people follow it?

Have a fabulous Wednesday!

xoxo

  5. Ohhh. You posted the brand of those shoes from my last comment! They look so much like these Guess Batiko shoes from far away, but I find that these days.. shoe styles tend to resemble themselves a lot. It's hard to tell from far away.

I love the first outfit! The skirt blooms out and flatters your figure. That outfit seems a little casual for where I work/study. Basically for us, if you can't wear it to see patients, then you can't wear it to school either! We have to dress professionally every day, but I find myself pushing the edge on what's appropriate for school/seeing patients since everything gets hidden by a ginormous white coat, heh. Curious to see how your managers have pushed the envelope on office attire! Were they too skin revealing or something?

  7. @Andi - thank you Andi :)

@Ai - I did, few people asked what brand they were so I thought I'd share :)
Totally know what you mean, one needs to look presentable. At one of my previous jobs I had to wear a two button blazer every.day. Not cool!
I think they changed it because people looked waaay to sloppy...pretty much like a bum. But right now one of my coworkes wear super short skirts, minis, and no one has a problem with it. So they are not super strict..as long as we don't show up in sweat pants and hoodies :)

    @Tima i. - thank you girl :)

  14. I agree with everyone else about the second outfit. I saw it in F21a few weeks ago and didn't even dare to try it on. I do have a maxi dress like the skirt, so I'll try to duplicate your outfit with that! Thanks!

I do have to say, though, that the one item that I am most drawn to is the black skirt in the first pic. It's beautiful!
