Saturday Outfit and a ?

Top: F21
Shorts: Loft
Fedora: Target
Purse: Vintage
Shoes: Black ones from Kohls/White Marshalls
Belt: Gap
Necklace: F21

I was going to wear black shoes then switched to white and by the end of the day ended up wearing new gladiator sandals from Banana Republic outlet. They actually looked the best with this outfit...but of course I forgot to take pictures.
I also need to take a close-up picture of this purse...love the bring color combo.

And just to let you know in what type of town I live......one lady (in her 20's) at the outlet mall (it's 30min away from me but still) told me she liked my whole outfit and then said "let me guess....you're probably not from here".  And this outfit wasn't even wow.

How is your style influenced by the city/town you live in?
Or what is it influenced by?

I'm curious so do let me know in the comments below :)

  1. Love your fedora and your colorful bag!

I'm not sure that my style is influenced that much by where I live...over the past 5 years I've lived in London, NY and Toronto - and I've dressed the same everywhere LOL! Even when I was living in London, I'd do a LOT of my clothes shopping in Toronto.

  2. Love all the colours! I have trouble keeping up living in Toronto, I think there are many trends I just can't pull off so I try to stick with classic looks and trying to find my sense of style through how I wear things and how I accessorize.

  3. That bag is so cute! And the best part is that it's vintage!

I live in southern California, where anything goes. But in the town I live in, near San Diego, people are much more into dirt bike brands. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's not me! So sometimes I feel weird wearing high heels and dresses to dinner or a movie. But that's all starting to change. People are dressing up more, which I like.

  4. I love it, what a fun perfect summer outfit!
Um...I'm from south florida where everyone dresses up and preppy kind of rules (not my style). I have always done my own thing, but I definitely feel always overdressed in the area I live in now! I don't mind though.

  5. what a fun summer outfit! love it :)
sadly, most days, my style is influenced by whether or not it's raining (or going to rain)!

  6. You look great! I love the colours in the shirt.

I grew up in a pretty small town, so when I go back, I make sure my wardrobe is toned down a little bit. I guess it shouldn't matter, but I don't really like completely standing out from the crowd.

  7. Totally off topic, but I bought those dizzy sandals (the bow ones that look Valentino)...did you find them to be big or sloppy to walk in? My normal size 7 seems big, and they smell :( They are WAY too cute to return though, I'll deal. Haha :)

  8. @JillfromMN - yea, a little...I think if the strap was a little more tight maybe they wouldn't be sloppy to walk in. Mine didn't smell and I'll check next time I wear them if they feel big. Maybe that's why they feel sloppy. I agree with you...I almost returned mine but then thought the same thing, too cute to return :)

  9. GORGEOUS outfit. That top is...I don't even know...I just need it!!! I really love the way you added the fedora on top! Everything is perfect!

That's too funny about the lady stopping you! I live in Houston so there's a lot of diversity with everything!
